Part Assembly

Our engineering process involves a cast of natural parts, without any trick. The aim is to visualise and understand the natural jointings. There are no added clips or hooks to hold the parts together in an artificial manner, as this would hide the inter-bone relationships and movements.

In nature, it is the conjunctive tissue which plays this role of elastic bond. Of course, you can perfectly joint the reproduction of these bones, but, without any conjunctive tissue, they cannot hold together any more than if you had the original bones in your hands. If you want to hold together the bones of the vault and the base, use a simple external rubber band. If this is not acceptable, replace the conjunctive tissue with a little adhesive paste in the sutures. The adhesive paste is part of the shipped package.

Packing and presentation

Our skulls are housed in a cardboard box, which lowers the weight and the shipping costs. If you would like to offer a nice case to your skull, go to a do-it-yourself department store and buy one of those hand cases used to carry tools. For a small price, you will have a nice looking, handy and robust box.
